My journey in the hair industry started from a need for creativity I didn’t see around me. In the summer of 2001, I left NYC for the Hudson Valley, where a spark of curiosity led me to learn the art of barbering. What began as a way to fill a creative void soon became a lifelong passion.
After years building unique spaces like The Great Studio and Vidl Barbershop, I realized my purpose extends beyond managing a storefront. Today, I focus on mobile services, offering clients the comfort of house calls and delivering unique experiences for groomsmen’s parties, events, and onsite collaborations with other brands.
This shift allows me to thrive as a creator, working alongside other innovators and dedicating my energy to developing Vidl’s hair care line—a brand centered on clean, locally-sourced ingredients and crafted with integrity.
I’m known for more than attention to detail; I’m recognized for the personalized experience I bring to each client, creating connections through thoughtful, customized cuts. My work embodies a commitment to wellness, community, and creativity in every aspect, from the precise cuts to the curated experiences and the clean, earth-conscious products I design.
